of lipstick & motorbikes.

today i'm listening to: lemonworld- the national

do do do do do do... (genius).

well hello there, sweet cheeks.
haven't seen you here in a while...

had a moment to myself
and thought i'd shake the parade around a little bit.

(she certainly knows how to shake a parade)

besame mucho.

well,
since you've been gone,
alot's happened

extra extra. read all about it.

i worked entirely too much,
i went to the GRAMMYs,

life has been one great big
occupational shin-dig.

ooOOOooo child, things are gonna get easier.
ooOOoo child, things'll get brighter.
(that song is by the five stairsteps.)

--quiet ponder-ies on readiness--

getting ready....
(lipstick)

ready to take a ride....
(& motorbikes.)

ready to put on a show.

ready for action.

(ready. steady. go)

i am ready for you, spring!

have you seen
"i'm still here"?
..................you really should.
pretty much brilliant.

...he was charlie sheen-ing
          before charlie sheen-ed.

i've been up to no good lately. working too much and laughing too little...
but life has been nothing short of incredible.

I get to be a member of the RECORDING ACADEMY.
so that was a big FUCK YEAH.

[i.e. when (fill in the blank huge rockstar) wins a GRAMMY and says "I would first like to thank the academy..."]
they'll be referring to ME.
i die.

you’re written in her book
you’re number 37, have a look
she’s going to smile to make you frown,
what a clown
little boy, she’s from the street
before you start, you’re already beat
she’s gonna play you for a fool,
yes it’s true
cause everybody knows,
she’s a femme fatale
- velvet underground

"i want to write about you
in all of my notebooks"

striking similarities.

my oh my
a window to the sea!
(reminds me of when i lived on a boat.)

it was a lovely time
when i lived on a boat.
and i want to live on a boat again someday.
an address in the wind.
moving target life.
where  i can set sail everyday-
chasing a horizontal faraway
and the wind will be at my back
and the sun will be on my side
and all the things behind me
will get smaller
and smaller
with time.

let's dive all the way down
then wash up on a shore somewhere.

i want to wear red lipstick

and ride motorbikes.

until then, i'll be hootin' and a hollerin' and dancin' in the street.

"he thought that in the beauty of the world were hid a secret. he thought the world’s heart beat at some terrible cost and that the world’s pain and its beauty moved in a relationship of diverging equity and that in this headlong deficit the blood of multitudes might ultimately be exacted for the vision of a single flower.”
